UPDATE ON AVIVA'S REATTRIBUTION PAYMENTS PROCESS

• More than 90% of payments issued in 2009
• All remaining payments will be issued by 31 March 2010

Overall we're paying £470 million to more than 800,000 customers who accepted the reattribution offer or who automatically qualified for payment.

We issued more than 90% of all these payments in 2009. We'll issue all the remaining payments in early 2010 – these include more complex payments for pension schemes, combined payments to holders of large numbers of policies, and for some remaining groups of eligible policies which have matured or ended as the result of a claim.
