Customer reviews consist of an overall rating out of five and provide feedback on the experience of buying a policy and making a claim with us. Customers also have the option to provide a rating out of five on additional aspects of their experience. After buying a policy, customers are able rate us on value for money, ease of purchase, policy features and benefits and customer experience. After making a claim, customers are invited to rate us on ease of claim process, speed of resolution, fairness and customer experience.

Claim review

Crashed in to by reckless teenagers but of course it's my fault

I got smashed in to by a reckless 19 year old and his mates messing around in a car park. I got dealt with very quickly and was quickly told that despite a witness saying they were speeding, messing around and I was in the right, they (Aviva) didn't want to know and quickly put the blame on me, a 44 year with no points or convictions, stationery in a car park, with witnesses who were willing to testify I was doing nothing wrong. I then had to pay extra for a hire car to fit in my family (despite paying extra for an upgraded hire car) and then paid and list my excess. My car wasn't fixed properly, I had to wait 2 extra weeks, missed my holiday and then had to drive 30 mile round trips at least twice to get my car fixed again and painted properly ( still not done). Apart from that, I am really happy.

I'm sorry to see the repairs are not up to the standard. I'm following this up with our claims team and garage to see what has happened and get you an update on getting this all resolved

Buyer review

Great Service

Got really good service considering we made a couple of mistakes, this was easily and quickly rectified by the person at the other end of the phone. Not everyone does light commercial insurance. Excellent service.

Brilliant service

I've not made an insurance claim for many years so anticipated a difficult and lengthy process. I couldn't have been more wrong, the service was great from start to finish.

Reported Monday surveyed Tuesday fixed Wednesday

I reported my claim on a Monday, I was called back the same day and an arrangement was made for someone to come and inspect my car the next day. On Wednesday my car was picked up and taken for repair and then bought back to me 5 days later all fixed. Truly excellent customer service, I could not be any more impressed with the speed and professionalism of the whole operation, and the workmanship on the repair was top draw also, as good as new. 5 Star.

Hassle free Claim

Haven't claimed for about 14 years. The last time when my vehicle was struck by someone else. I had to do all the running around, getting estimates, chasing my excess, obtaining hire car etc. This time every thing was done for me by Aviva and their partner companies even down to having a hire car delivered to the body repair shop. Excellent.

Good

Very easy to deal with Aviva once I got through to them. It took around 15 mins for them to answer call which was a bit annoying. But from them on it was all straight forward with Aviva. The last time I had a claim the car was picked up and dropped off when finished. But this time I had to take the car to the accident centre for them to look at and it was 13 days before they came to collect it and three days for them to return the car. But the repair was very good and car came back with a full valet inside and out and even a small touch up bottle of paint. So all in all good.

Claim review

Won't be renewing with Aviva

Aviva were useless when it came to helping me with my claim for an accident that wasn't my fault. For 5 years now I have been paying over the odds for my car insurance with Aviva and even with a claim I can get cheaper insurance elsewhere. I definitely won't be renewing with Aviva.

Worth switching

It is true what they say - you do have to shop around. Aviva offered the best deal and much cheaper than my existing insurance.
