Claim review

Not very impresed

An ordeal from beginning to end..from car being taken away at scene in what looked an extremely repairable state to chasing up 7 days later (as I was leaving the country for a break) and being told that you were arranging a settlement figure! When I questioned about my car I was told it was several counties away at a salvage yard and we were unaware of where any of our personal effects were! The salvage yard was not open on weekends so I had to delay my trip for a day to contact them on a Monday to be told by that the Solus body shop had our belongings. When Solus came to get their courtesy car,they brought back some of our stuff but some effects such as a boot liner which costs £85 from a dealer must be at the salvage yard and if I wanted it I would have to drive to WIltshire on a weekday to collect!....absolute nightmare from start to finish and currently looking to change insurance provider...first claim and we get lots of grief and a total loss on a 63 plate Fiesta..poor!

Great price and easy to use

Could not have been easier to insure my car, straight forward questions and easy to navigate web site. Friend who has had policy with Aviva says claim handling and queries are great, so all in all looks like a very good service.

No change from Norwich union

I should have known better. Very poor company when it was Norwich Union, even worse now...Not recommend at all for motor insurance....

Good customer service

Having had a disappointing experience elsewhere I visited the Aviva website and purchased my car insurance policy online. This was a relatively easy transaction despite an initial difficulty in printing my insurance documents. However, this was quickly overcome by a call to Customer Services when my problem was quickly and efficiently resolved.

A very flexible product

Hi, I wanted a policy that was basically fully comp cover for myself and my wife. In addition i wanted to be able to add any of our three sons on from time to tim at reasonable cost. Every company I tried refused to quote until I had taken a policy out and then gave add on figures that were incredibly high. AVIVA made it simple and quoted for everything at the beginning. On top of that they were the quote for 12 months cover to include our sons was so reasonable it was a 'no brainer'! Problem solved!

excellent and helpful service

I found the service from Aviva superb. I had checked on the internet for various quotes and found Aviva to be very competitive. I was buying a second car and I required multicar insurance and full insurance for my wife who previously had only been a named driver. The assistant I talked to on the telephone could not have been more helpful. She advised me about no claims discount for my wife's car, all the details of cover and worked out a price which was very acceptable. She explained everything about the policy and was very pleasant and really helpful. With my experience I would certainly recommend Aviva.
