In addition to aiming to help you make better decisions about your insurance, we use these reviews to improve our products and services.

Customer reviews consist of an overall rating out of five and provide feedback on the experience of buying a policy and making a claim with us. Customers also have the option to provide a rating out of five on additional aspects of their experience. After buying a policy, customers are able rate us on value for money, ease of purchase, policy features and benefits and customer experience. After making a claim, customers are invited to rate us on ease of claim process, speed of resolution, fairness and customer experience.

Very happy with ease and speed of service

Very good experience - everything was sorted very quickly and efficiently and our car was repaired to a very high standard.

Claim review

Fantastic service

Someone ran in the back of my car damaging my rear bumper, that evening I completed the online claim. The following morning I had an email confirming a no fault claim had been approved, they had arranged the collection of my car from my house and arranged a courtesy car. Incredible stress free process, well done Aviva.

Value for money

When deciding on my car and house insurance I usually use one of the web sites that provide you with a list of insurance companies. My wife had read that two companies, one of which included Aviva did not advertise this way. Being curious and having heard about Aviva I contacted them for a quote and was pleasantly surprised when they quoted me for my car insurance. They were considerably cheaper than the best like for like quote. In addition Aviva offer a number of incentives for being a customer which I intend to take up when I next need home insurance. So pleased I looked into what they had to offer.

My experience of purchasing car insurance

My initial experience of purchasing car insurance was straight forward and particularly since I have my home insurance with Aviva. However, I couldn't get into the email that contained the policy as I was not able to link the 2 policies, apparently to open up that file. I rang and asked if someone could take me through this and was told that someone would phone me back. that was 2 weeks ago. I asked for a hard copy of the policy and that hasn't arrived in the post. I am understandably dissatisfied. Why is this so difficult and it will colour my opinion of taking out a car insurance policy with Aviva in the future.

Claim review

Positive claim response

The accident was caused by a car not stopping 2 cars behind me. So we felt like the innocent victims. The Aviva Help Desk however, did their best by organising the car repairs and providing a rental car for our prearranged tour of Scotland. Much appreciated.

Cheap cover for a van used as a car.

I'm a mountain biker and I've just bought a Caddy to replace my car (a Berlingo). A surfer friend and a mountain biking friend both recommended Aviva for providing cover including commuting at a decent price. Aviva let me use my car no claims bonus on my van and they were easy to deal with, quick to answer the phone and email enquiries. I emailed them my proof of no claims because the online form didn't work and they got back to me really quickly too. Hopefully I won't have to *really* test them by making a claim, but so far I'm impressed.
