Customer reviews consist of an overall rating out of five and provide feedback on the experience of buying a policy and making a claim with us. Customers also have the option to provide a rating out of five on additional aspects of their experience. After buying a policy, customers are able rate us on value for money, ease of purchase, policy features and benefits and customer experience. After making a claim, customers are invited to rate us on ease of claim process, speed of resolution, fairness and customer experience.

This years car insurance renewal

Each year I get several quotes direct and from comparison sites, Aviva were not the cheapest this time but the policy appeared better than the cheaper quotes, but hopefully I won't need to ever find out by making a claim.

Great Service,

I was with another provider of multi-car insurance but was unhappy with their service & reputation so I rang around and tried Aviva on a whim. I liked the fact that the lady I spoke to was in the UK and the fact that she connected with me on a human level (she even laughed at my jokes and made her own) rather than appearing to go through a script. The conversation was actually an enjoyable experience! I also liked the fact that although other products and services were mentioned, it wasn't a hard sell merely letting me know that they were there. (My previous provider always pressure-sold their other products and actually sounded quite put-out if I said No.) Price is a factor and I was happy with that too. My only slight gripe was that after having spent an hour creating my quote, I was surprised that I had to go through the bulk of everything again before I could take out the insurance; I guess to avoid mistakes but another 25 mins seemed excessive. All in all - very happy.

Claim review

Poor Customer Service

Every time i make call to claim department, no one ever picks up the phone. my phone bill went up by 120 quids in April as a result of calling aviva. Several times, i got held on the phone for 40 mins without any success. Instead of aviva chasing up my claim from third party insurance, i was the one chasing up my claim from third party insurance. The third party customer service was very much effective than aviva, my call always got through within 3 min. it's very much difficult to get hold of your customer service to discuss my claim. up till the moment i'm writing this review, aviva hasn't updated me about my claim but i've contacted the third party insurance by myself and got informed about their decision regarding my claim.
