In addition to aiming to help you make better decisions about your insurance, we use these reviews to improve our products and services.

Customer reviews consist of an overall rating out of five and provide feedback on the experience of buying a policy and making a claim with us. Customers also have the option to provide a rating out of five on additional aspects of their experience. After buying a policy, customers are able rate us on value for money, ease of purchase, policy features and benefits and customer experience. After making a claim, customers are invited to rate us on ease of claim process, speed of resolution, fairness and customer experience.

Claim review

Could do a lot better

The claims handler was poor and only contacted me after I made contact. I sent emails which were opened by the claims handler but they did not reply, I got a reply from a colleague .of the claim handler. My vehicle was stolen by a garage who were doing the work. I have had to push to get your legal team involved, What am I paying the legal services part of the policy for. As this vehicle insurance is for a van, very little allowance is made for condition. There is no interest in Aviva assisting you in finding another vehicle, where your competitors do. I am unable to get a same spec vehicle for the maximum amount that you offered. I would also suggest that some took time to use this feedback form to try and edit as this also leaves a lot to be desired . The saving grace to this claim was a lady called Theresa in the same team as my appointed handler, she is an asset to Aviva. I would be delighted to discuss my comment with a senior manager.

Easy to use website

I found the whole experience of using the website very easy, I like being able to select the extras and seeing how much each will add to total cost.

Claim review

Motor claim

The staff at Aviva were exceptionally courteous and made the process very simple. Within a couple of days I was contacted by the repair garage and they came to pick up the car within two days. The repairer kept me informed every step of the process and returned the car to me having been valeted. A courtesy call was then recieved from Aviva to ensure all was well. All in all a very stisfied customer.

Value for money

Received my renewal from another insurance company for my multicar policy. .Was not impressed. Received a cold call from Aviva which I would not normally have responded to but on this occasion I did. Passed over the information of the cars and drivers and got the quotation which was considerably less than my current insurer. The add ons i.e excesses, were in the main better with one or two exceptions. However we could live with that.

Fantastic price, friendly but slow customer service

I received a fantastic price for my insurance - lower than that advertised on comparison sites. I called to follow up my quote, the customer service assistant was friendly and helpful, but in total I was on the phone for 40mins.

Easy to get quote and take out cover.

Using the online quote was easy enough and taking out the policy was straight forward. I just hope the service is still good if I ever have to make a claim, because when I used this company before, the money I received for the loss of my vehicle was less than the cost of my annual premium (and I was not at fault for the claim)
