Customer reviews consist of an overall rating out of five and provide feedback on the experience of buying a policy and making a claim with us. Customers also have the option to provide a rating out of five on additional aspects of their experience. After buying a policy, customers are able rate us on value for money, ease of purchase, policy features and benefits and customer experience. After making a claim, customers are invited to rate us on ease of claim process, speed of resolution, fairness and customer experience.

Speedy telephone call after visiting website

Multi car & van

I found it very easy to get the cover I required for my personal and business use and was able to add my partner to my policy who is a learner driver at the moment.

Claim review

Shocking amateurish service

1. The claims telephone number never seems to get answered, then you are put on hold for at least 20 minutes, and its a premium rate number! 2. The system for registering a claim on the website does not work. 3. Reports and notes are not logged on the Aviva system correctly. 4. No official accident report sent out, with questions regarding date and time of incident etc. Its all handled via ad-hoc e-mails. 5. The Aviva website impressively talks about "approved" repair centres and the quality of the service, yet I still have no idea where my local repair centre is or even who to contact to have the car assessed two months after the incident.

Customer service was pleasant and helpful

The people I dealt with were pleasant, as I would expect them to be when I am purchasing from them. When making decisions on things like car insurance, I like to discuss with my husband before I make any decisions, therefore it would be helpful if I could have been able to contact the person that did all the hard work to give me a quote. I always think they should have my custom when I decided to buy from them. I hope that the pleasant service will be there if I need help and have a problem for them to fix.

FIRST TIME WITH AVIVA

PRICES COMPARABLE,COULD ONLY GO SO FAR WITH TRANSACTION ON LINE,HAD TO CALL, VERY TIME CONSUMING,LONG WINDED, ASKED THE ASSISTANT TO CALL BACK NEXT DAY AT A PARTICULAR TIME AS THINGS WERE TAKING SO LONG I WAS DUE AT AN APPOINTMENT ELSEWHERE. ASSISTANT ASSURED ME HE WOULD CALL BACK THE NEXT DAY BUT FAILED TO DO SO. IF THAT IS BEFORE I NEED ANY HELP OR ADVICE WITH A CLAIM IT DOES NOT FILL ME WITH CONFIDENCE . NOT SURE IF I WOULD RECOMMEND AVIVA TO ANYONE ELSE . I WILL HAVE TO WAIT AND SEE..........

Claim review

Making a bad situation better

Being involved in any accident is traumatic, so having insurers that help you get things sorted out quickly and efficiently matters a lot. Aviva were excellent and i can't praise them enough - but i was also relieved to find out that their strategic partners (hire car and repairs companies) also worked to very high standards. I was very worried about the work being done on my car but am very happy to say Solus were fantastic too. The accident was a pain, in many ways, but Aviva made it better. Thank you
