Customer reviews consist of an overall rating out of five and provide feedback on the experience of buying a policy and making a claim with us. Customers also have the option to provide a rating out of five on additional aspects of their experience. After buying a policy, customers are able rate us on value for money, ease of purchase, policy features and benefits and customer experience. After making a claim, customers are invited to rate us on ease of claim process, speed of resolution, fairness and customer experience.

Great service but still waiting...

Great product with options to 'bolt on' benefits to a basic package. The on-line service is easy and efficient to use. It is clear and offers useful information boxes should you not be clear on the meaning of something. I was tempted to consider this product through e-mail advertising which stated 30 pounds of M&S vouchers would be sent. These have not been received yet. This maybe because my policy is due to start on the 1st Nov or maybe not? Overall... one happy customer eagerly awaiting her M&S vouchers in time for Christmas!

Claim review

A Leak in the Dining Room Ceiling

The advice of surveyors was valuable but we are unsure about their choice of contractor. The first man was unable to complete the stripping task in the day and he left the wooden floor wet. After the drying process, arranged for the damp in the ceiling, that of the hall and the wall between, it took from 10 July until 6 August to begin the last phase. The man sent by the contractor left base, about an hour and a quarter’s drive away, at 0800, the time at which we had to be ready for him. He had not been told this, nor was he advised that he had to complete the stripping and so did not have a steamer, which he had to go and get. He came on time the next day and completed the job. We are pleased to say that he was very agreeable, that his work was excellent and that the finished product was very good. We saw the delay in starting the last phase as undue and indicative of shortcoming of management somewhere in the chain.

Excellent service by way of chat line.

Fantastic service by way of a chat line. I live in a listed cottage that failed Aviva's initial criteria. I contacted the chat room and received excellent service. Aviva agreed to insure my cottage. I made a considerable saving. I am glad I persisted. In addition further contact made easy by way of an 0800 number. Very impressed thus far.

excellent claims procedure but beware of no claims discount

Hi i found it easy to get my claim for a patio window which got accidentally damaged by a stone that was thrown up by my mower and broke my window.Excellent service from both insurance company and fitting company.When i came to renew my policy i had lost 5 years no claims discount on the buildings part of policy SO BEWARE MAKE SURE YOU PROTECT YOUR NO CLAIMS DISCOUNT a mistake i made by accident not checking my policy.Hope this stops other people making the same mistake thanks PCJS

Eventually found the time to look elsewhere when my existing home insureance was up for renewal. With all the information in front of me gaining a like for like quate from Aviva was easy and the result made it an obvious choice to move.
