Customer reviews consist of an overall rating out of five and provide feedback on the experience of buying a policy and making a claim with us. After buying a policy, customers are able rate us on value for money, ease of purchase, policy features and benefits and customer experience. After making a claim, customers are invited to rate us on ease of claim process, speed of resolution, fairness and customer experience.

Great price, easy to use.

All other Home insurance company's said I was in a flood area Piet code, which is rubbish. Aviva clearly understands this, and that's why I choose them above all else.

Easy to use

Looking to review my existing house and contents insurance I found Aviva to be very easy to access and to get an immediate quote. My existing provider could not match it like for like so I immediately swopped to Aviva no contest!

Claim review

disappointing and very slow service

We are very disappointed with the level of service we are experiencing with our claim due to damage caused by the Christmas storm: our e-mails are being ignored (e.g. a mail I sent on 13/05/14 was finally read on 28/05/14 after I had resent it), we have to wait for an extremely long time to get a response to our mails, telephone calls always go to voicemail and then don't get returned, I am (a woman) dealing with all insurance matters but the person dealing with the claim addresses me as 'Mr'. All in all a very frustrating customer service which is adding to the high level of stress I am already experiencing.

Speed and efficeincy

Only surprize was that the claim was dealt with by an external supplier but nevertheless dealt with very efficiently and fairly

Claim review

Beware of jewellery cards.

The claims process was very straighforward and all conducted by phone or email. We had jewellery stolen and the amount we were awarded was very fair, however they offered us the amount as a jewellery card to be used in the Goldsmith's group. None of the items stolen had been bought from a high street chain like Goldsmiths so I was very unhappy at the prospect of a jewellery card. I asked for a cash settlement as the items could not be replaced at Goldsmiths and was given an amount about 10% less. I was quite happy with this however it did cause me some worry until it was resolved.
