We focus on helping your employees to stay healthy, as well as supporting them when they’re not. That’s why, when you put our Group Income Protection into place, we’ll also make available an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP).
Our EAP is a confidential advice and information service, staffed by qualified trained counsellors. Through it, your employees will have access to professional expertise which gives them the chance to talk about all kinds of work and personal issues. These might include stress, family concerns, relationships, illness, retirement and personal crises.
Anything that worries them could be affecting their productivity. So by helping to nip any problems in the bud, the EAP could help to reduce absenteeism in your business and improve overall staff wellbeing. To achieve this, our EAP offers a range of service levels, including:
With effect from 1 January 2014, the EAP is available to all direct employees of the policyholder – even if they’re not covered by the Group Income Protection policy.
Employees could have access to helplines for stress, GP advice, legal information, bereavement counselling and debt management advice. In addition, online information and support is provided to both managers and employees.
As of 1 January 2014, the number of face-to-face counselling sessions offered as standard with our EAP increased. Our EAP now offers six sessions for each one of your client's employees per year, to be used as needed.
Optional additional services such as a critical incident support service, a mediation service and employee workshops are also available to add to the EAP.
