Employee Assistance Programme

We focus on helping your employees to stay healthy, as well as supporting them when they’re not. That’s why, when you put our Group Income Protection into place, we’ll provide an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) free of charge.

Our EAP is a confidential advice and information service, staffed by qualified GPs and trained counsellors. Through it, your employees will have access to clinical and professional expertise which gives them the chance to talk about all kinds of work and personal issues. These might include stress, family concerns, relationships, illness, retirement and personal crises.

Anything that worries them could be affecting their productivity. So by helping to nip any problems in the bud, the EAP could help to reduce absenteeism in your business and improve overall staff wellbeing. To achieve this, our EAP offers a range of service levels, including:

  • Professional advice from GPs and qualified experienced counsellors.
  • Access to helplines for Stress Counselling, GP advice, legal advice and bereavement counselling.

Offer support at a level that suits your business…

You can also choose to upgrade your Employee Assistance Programme, or provide its benefits to your whole workforce – even if they’re not covered by the Group Income Protection policy.

  • Upgrade to our Telephone EAP. Employees could have access to helplines for Stress, GP advice, legal advice, bereavement counselling and debt management advice. In addition, online information and support is provided to both managers and employees.
  • Upgrade to our Full EAP. Enhancing the cover further, we could also provide up to six face-to-face counselling sessions per employee – a service that comes highly recommended by medical professionals.
