We have over 50 years experience in Group Income Protection. So we’ve listened to what employers and employees have told us, and created a Group Income Protection claims process that treats everyone as an individual.

As soon as a Group Income Protection claim is initiated, our empathetic staff start combining early intervention measures and appropriate rehabilitation techniques to help employees get better, quicker. This helps reduce the costs associated with long-term absence - such as overtime, sick pay, extra resource costs and reduced productivity.

And we know, no one wants to spend time filling out claims forms, least of all when they’re not feeling well or business isn’t going well. So from the first crucial call, our teams start collating information from employers and employees about the circumstances of a claim. We’re here to help.

Accessible expertise

The staff in our claims team are all trained to handle the emotional complexities of a Group Income Protection claim. All our Rehabilitation Case Managers are British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) registered counsellors. We also work with organisations to offer specific support in particular circumstances.

  • Early notification - our focus is on supporting early notification of any absence, as our experience shows the earlier a potential claim is notified the more effective the outcome for both the employee and your client.
  • Management Reporting - we can offer full claims tracking and reporting for employers, keeping them updated and consulted throughout the claims process.
  • Telephone claims - all our Group Income Protection claims are handled by telephone, which avoids any delays collating information from employees.
  • Dedicated Rehabilitation Case Managers - our special claims consultants and Rehabilitation Claims Visitors support employees throughout the entire process.
  • Performance updates - we understand the importance of reporting information, and can provide claims performance statistics for larger schemes.
