Portfolio from Aviva is an investment bond that allows you to invest a single lump sum into a range of different funds. It's intended as a long-term investment with the potential to benefit from stock market growth. But remember, your investment can go down as well as up and you may get back less than you originally invested. Here are some guidelines to help you decide whether this type of investment may be right for you.
Portfolio can be taken out by one or two people aged 12 or over. For anyone aged between 12 and 15, we'll need the signature of a parent or guardian. There must be one or two lives assured on the bond - these are the people covered by the bond's death benefit.
Regardless of whether there are one or two lives assured, a maximum age of 89 applies at the start of the bond. However, for policies where two lives are assured the age limit will be dependant on whether the death benefit is payable on the first or second death. For more information around eligibility for Portfolio, please read our Key Features brochure (PDF 120KB) and Information pack (PDF 929KB).
