Morley Fund Management wins award for its SRI capability

Morley Fund Management (‘Morley’) has won the‘Sustainable and Ethical Investment and Asset ManagementAward’ at The Liveable City Awards.

The awards were presented by the Chief Commoner, JonathanCharkham, on 20 February 2002 in the City of London in recognitionof outstanding achievement in environmental protection by Citybusinesses.

The Liveable City Awards were established by a consortium oforganisations including the Corporation of London, The SustainableCity Forum and some of the City’s leading LiveryCompanies.

Morley’s entry was based around four mainachievements:

  1. One of the largest dedicated Socially Responsible Investment(SRI) teams in the UK providing a range of retail and pensionfunds.
  2. A Corporate Governance Voting Policy that requires companiesto disclose their policy on social and environmental issues.
  3. The launch of the UK’s first institutional propertyregeneration fund – the IGLOO Regeneration Partnership.
  4. Their belief in Positive Engagement with the companies thatthey invest in to influence them to improve their social andenvironmental performance.
