New building society partnership for Norwich Union

Cumberland Building Society, the UK’s 21stlargest, has announced that it has entered into a distributionrelationship with Norwich Union Life for the sale of Norwich UnionLife’s life, pensions and investment products.

Cumberland, whose head office is in Carlisle, has 34 branchoffices and 12 estate agency offices.

This new partnership brings to 20 the number of buildingsocieties tied to Norwich Union.

John Leveson, deputy chief executive of Cumberland, said: "Thisis a great opportunity for us to work with Norwich Union and driveforward our business in what is a rapidly changing marketplace.
