As the Adviser Academy celebrates its fourth birthday, Aviva can reveal it has seen a spike in registrations since the start of the year. Registrations have risen by a quarter (24%), on the same period last year.
With the industry gearing up for RDR, the Adviser Academy has been on hand since its inception in 2008 to support members in achieving their QCF Level 4 qualifications. More than 16,000 members have registered with the academy to take advantage of the free online training tools including handy chapter guides, presentations and practice questions.
As well as studying online, almost 10,000 members have taken advantage of the opportunity to spend a full day face to face at one of over 650 free revision workshops held across the country. Advisers also spent more than 10,000 hours in our virtual classrooms during 2011.
Craig Whaites, head of sales training and capability development at Aviva said: “Four years ago we were one of the first providers to launch an academy. Today we are proud of the work the Adviser Academy has done in helping our 16,000 members prepare for their exams.
“We know it can be difficult to juggle studying alongside client commitments. We see the Adviser Academy as an important part of our commitment to support the IFA community. This has never been more important as the RDR clock ticks towards 31 December.”
