Norwich Union International sales up 44% for first nine months of 2004

Norwich Union International, Aviva’sDublin based offshore business, reports new business of€240.8m for the first nine months of 2004. That’s anincrease of 44% on the same period last year.

There is a continuing trend for sales to splitevenly between unit-linked and with-profit business. With-profit isa popular offshore proposition. With-profit business is reported inthe sales figures of Norwich Union Life in the UK where it isreinsured.

Clive Witter, managing director, Norwich UnionInternational, said: "Our new business figures have sustainedconsistent growth for some time now.
