Morley Fund Management, one of Europe’s largest fundmanagers, has appointed Tim Barker as head of credit analysis. Timjoins Morley on 1 August 2005 and will report to Paul Mingay, headof credit in the fixed income team.
Tim brings to Morley more than 13 years of experience in creditanalysis at both investment banking and asset management firms. Hejoins Morley from Lazard Asset Management where he was a seniorcredit analyst and strategist.
Tim began his career as a credit analyst at Nat West Markets,before moving to the buy side with spells as a credit analyst withSLC Asset Management and Schroder Investment Management. He thenreturned to investment banking with Deutsche Bank where he wasresponsible for credit strategy, before joining Lazard.
Tim will manage Morley’s team of credit analysts whoprovide the research and investment recommendations to fundmanagers across all sectors in the UK and Europe.

Morley also recently appointed Jay Contis as a credit analyst inthe Boston office covering US banks, financials and insurers. Fromthe 20 June, Jay will be working in Morley’s London officefor a temporary period. Previously, Jay was an analyst in highgrade corporate fixed income for State Street Research &Management.
Morley’s Credit Team manages more than £20 billion incorporate bonds while the Fixed Income Team manages more than £65billion in total funds under management (as at31.5.2005).
