Morley chief investment officer named World Economic Forum Young Global Leader

Investment Officer of Morley Fund Management KatherineGarrett-Cox has been named a ‘Young Global Leader’ byThe Forum of Young Global Leaders, an affiliate of the WorldEconomic Forum.

Katherine, who will be one of the 44 Europeans to become YoungGlobal Leaders, will be joining the likes of Shami Chakrabarti,Director of Liberty (Human Rights Group), Dame Ellen MacArthur, andLarry Page and Sergey Brin, co-founders of Google.

The Young Global Leaders will continue the work begun at theirfirst meeting in Zermatt, Switzerland and throughout 2005 when taskforces were formed to address priority global challenges for 2020in the areas of development and poverty, global governance andsecurity, environment, education, and health.

The Forum of Young Global Leaders is a multi-stakeholdercommunity of the world’s leaders who are 40 years old oryounger. The 2006 class includes over 60 business leaders, morethan 30 government leaders, and dozens of scholars, media andnongovernmental organization leaders. They come from 50 countriesranging from Argentina to Zimbabwe.
