RAC Auto Windscreens has appointed Mark Hughes as its newmanaging director.
Previously operations director for Norwich Union Central Services,Mark now heads a seven-strong board of directors at RAC AutoWindscreens, voted the Best Glass Repair Company at the 2006 FleetNews Awards.
"I’m delighted to have the opportunity to lead RAC AutoWindscreens during an exciting new phase in the company’sdevelopment," said Mark, 50, who joined Norwich Union in 2001 asdirector of property and facilities.
"RAC Auto Windscreens enters 2006 with an £8 million investment inits systems, 28% more mobile automotive glazing technicians andnearly double the amount of call centre operators compared to thistime last year. There is huge potential for building on thecompany’s success and reputation.”
Prior to joining Norwich Union, Mark was principal consultant onthe creation of the Amey Lex Consortium (ALC) after a career in theArmy which culminated in the role of director of army resources andplans in the Ministry of Defence.
