Morley reinforces marketing effort

Morley Fund Management, one of the UK’s largest fundmanagers, has made two new appointments to its marketing team.Nicolas Portet has been appointed European marketing manager andHelen Pring has been appointed competitor and customer insightmanager. Both Nicolas and Helen will report to Morley’s headof channel marketing, Mark Ward.

Commenting on the appointments, Morley’s head of marketingDavid Norman said: “Morley is committed to growing itsbusiness beyond the UK, especially in Europe. The addition ofNicolas and Helen to our marketing team reinforces the support wegive to the business.

“Nicolas will be working collaboratively with the businessdevelopment and sales teams. His main responsibility will be toprovide proactive marketing support to the European business andthe wider channel marketing team by presenting ideas and plans forinvestment and product stories and campaigns.

“Helen will be providing the sales, product development anddistribution strategy teams with robust and insightful data andtrend analyses to use as part of their decision making process. Shewill be facilitating strategic and tactical plans and activities,covering wholesale, European and institutional businesses”,he said.

Nicolas Portet joined Morley from American Express Bank where hewas director of global marketing. His main responsibilitiesincluded developing strategic marketing plans, undertakingqualitative and quantitative surveys and promoting global events.Before this, Nicolas was Senior Marketing Associate at FidelityInvestments in Luxembourg.

Helen Pringjoined Morleyfrom Pioneer Investments where she was market research manager. Inher role, Helen managed a team of four analysts between Dublin andLondon who created a range of reports from quantitative monthlyupdates on performance, sales, ratings and fees to analyticalmarket-entry and product development strategy documents. Beforejoining Pioneer Investments, Helen worked at Societe GeneraleInvestment Bank in the Financial Institutions Group.
