Morley appoints Ian Hally to lead Asian Strategy - Property

Article date: 24 May 2007

Morley has appointed Ian Hally to the position of head of Asian strategy and indirect investment - a key role in Morley's expansion into Asia, reporting into the head of Asian property. Ian will be based in Singapore and his responsibilities will include strategy and research as well as managing unlisted indirect and listed securities investments.

This follows the news last month that Morley is to invest up to £5 billion in Asia over the next four years.

Ian joins from Scottish Widows Investment Partnership where he was investment director of property securities and before that head of property research. Prior to Scottish Widows Investment Partnership, Ian has worked at F&C, Ryden, Property Market Analysis and Drivers Jonas in a mixture of fund management, property research and valuation roles.

Nick Mansley said: "Ian brings us a combination of strong analytical skills and a mixture of direct and indirect property experience that is an important part of our approach to investment. He also brings extensive experience of product and business development. It is a very exciting time for our business as we look to rapidly expand our activities in Asia.

"I am delighted that Ian has joined us to help achieve this growth and I have every confidence he will play a key role in ensuring we deliver excellent investment performance for our clients along with developing an attractive range of products."
