Norwich Union equity release launches national advertising campaign

Article date: 5 June 2007

Norwich Union, the market leading provider in the equity release sector, this week launched a new consumer print and broadcast advertising campaign.

The campaign was first aired on Channel Five at 9.30pm on 4 June and will be rolled out across all terrestrial commercial and selected satellite channels. Print advertising commenced on 5 June.

The ads centre around Norwich Union's brand promise, "Making it easier." This informative new campaign actively encourages all consumers to take advice on their retirement finances prior to considering equity release.

Elizabeth Boardall, head of marketing, Norwich Union post retirement products comments: "We are delighted to have launched this fantastic campaign and are confident it will encourage potential customers to consider equity release as an additional source of income in retirement.

"As the market leading provider in the sector, we recognise the important role that intermediaries have to play in the equity release process. While equity release may not be right for everyone, the campaign will encourage potential customers to seek the advice of their financial adviser, in addition to speaking to Norwich Union.

"We are sure this new campaign will help boost the level of consumer understanding and eventually take up of this product over the long term."
