It's time to think pink!

From tonight, Norwich Union is lighting up its offices* in pink as part of breast cancer awareness month and to support its charity partner Breakthrough Breast Cancer. The buildings will glow pink as part of a wider campaign running for the whole of October.  

Any money raised by staff during October for Breakthrough Breast Cancer will also be double matched by Norwich Union and the company will match the first payment of anyone who signs up to payroll giving to Breakthrough Breast Cancer.

Through the campaign Norwich Union is seeking to encourage staff to be breast aware using Breakthrough Breast Cancer's slogan TLC - touch look check. Information will be made available across Norwich Union's offices in the form of posters and leaflets.

Debbie Bullock, charity and community co-ordinator, said: "We wanted to find a way to draw people's attention to this important campaign and what better way to do it than lighting the buildings in pink! We will also be trying to raise awareness among our staff by running a number of fun initiatives throughout the month - however there is a serious message here and we hope people will support this campaign".

Laura Jones, corporate partnerships executive at Breakthrough Breast Cancer, said: "Lighting the buildings up in pink is a really eye catching way to show Norwich Union support for the cause to the outside world.

"Breast cancer kills more than 1,000 women a month in the UK, which is why Breakthrough is committed to fighting breast cancer thorough research, campaigning and education."
