Norwich Union Healthcare customers get active at the launch of exclusive gym membership deals

Article date: 13 December 2007

Norwich Union Healthcare has launched exclusive gym membership deals across a nationwide network of health clubs in the UK. Recognising the importance of encouraging its customers to lead healthy and active lifestyles, the healthcare solutions provider has partnered with Health Force to offer its Private Medical Insurance, Group Income Protection and Occupational Health customers a new gym membership benefit.

For employers, the scheme will both look to positively affect employee productivity and reduce the number of days lost to absence, as well as demonstrate a commitment to the wellbeing of their staff.

The discounted rates of between 15-40% are available at a UK-wide network of clubs as well as a number of independent health clubs.

Rachel Marsh, proposition development manager at Norwich Union Healthcare, says: "The launch of the gym membership discount scheme supports our strategy to be a leading provider of healthcare solutions. It gives us a competitive offering and adds tangible value for our customers at no additional cost to them. It also helps meet corporate customer needs to reduce sickness and absence by encouraging employees to look after their health."
