Portsmouth team named top RAC patrol

RAC's Portsmouth Patrol Team has been awarded the prestigious title of Patrol Team of the Year at the company's recent Ambassador Awards.

The team’s outstanding customer service skills, constant commitment and strong team ethic has resulted in their success at this year’s awards, held at the Motor Heritage Museum, Gaydon, on 27 March.

Following the awards, Phil Kerby, lead patrol of the Portsmouth Team, said: “I am thrilled that we have been named Patrol Team of the Year. I feel really proud of what we have achieved by working together and am honoured to lead the best patrol team in the country.”

Neil Thompson, director of rescue service delivery, RAC, said: “We are extremely proud of the Portsmouth Patrol Team and their achievements. Their ability to work together as one, the high standard of customer service and unfailing enthusiasm has seen them deliver some outstanding results and they thoroughly deserve to win this award.”

The team, lead by Phil Kerby, consists of seven members including: Charlie Grey, Stephen Budge, Steven Short, Neil Bacon, Hugh Manning and Saleh Ahmed.
