The dedicated 24 hour Absence Manager telephone service will prompt employees for their absence reason, expected duration and details such as name, department and employee/payroll number. Only one call is needed on the first day of the new absence period.

Managers who need to know about the employee's absence will be notified by email, or by SMS if required. To progress the absence management, the line manager is provided with a telephone number to call the employee back at an appropriate time and talk about the absence. The easy-to-navigate Absence Manager portal is updated, prompting the next steps to efficiently progress the employee's absence. This helps ensure that well-informed, appropriate action can be taken to help minimise disruption and reduce the costs of absenteeism to your business.

When the employee recovers, he or she will call the Absence Manager phone line to report their return to work. Using the Absence Manager portal, the line manager can complete and record a return-to-work interview, then close the case. Throughout, Absence Manager gives you and your line managers access to real-time reporting that details absence rates, expected return-to-work dates, and case-by-case reports of individuals' progress.
