If you have an Aviva pension plan, you will have received an information pack showing you:
Find out how much income you could get from your pension.
Your pack contains:
As well as explaining your options, your pack tells you what you should be thinking about now in the run up to retirement.
See what your pack looks like.
You're two months away from retirement, so you really need to make some decisions about what you want to do. Basically, you should act now to make sure that you have an income coming in when you retire.
The first decision you have to make is whether you want to retire now or wait.
You need to decide the best way to fund your retirement.
You have several choices here:
The decision is completely yours. You just need to tell us want you want to do by returning the form we send you. Read more about delaying your retirement or semi retiring.
With Aviva, you must convert your pension fund into an income by your 75th birthday. If you don't tell us what you want to do with your pension fund, we will contact you before your 75th birthday. Read our 'Can I retire after I'm 75?' FAQ for more information.
If you have used the retirement income calculator to get a quote, you may have picked different options from the options we selected for you when we generated the quote in your pack. You know best which options suit you, so feel free to play about with the calculator to see how your income can differ when you choose different options. Some of the options will reduce the amount of income you could have, but others may have no effect on the income. The quote may also be different because of changes to the value of your pension fund and investment conditions, or differences in the details used to produce the quote. Give us a call if you want some help.
Thank you for your rating.
