Firefighters remained at the scene of an explosion in Perthshire over the weekend after two workers at a wood processing plant were injured in a dust explosion.Colin Hannigan, Perth station manager for Tayside Fire and Rescue, said that a "well-established fire" had been coming from a wood drying unit in one of the barns at the facility.
Attending crews equipped with breathing equipment and three water jets controlled the flames, he explained.
Mr Hannigan added: "There has been a significant amount of damage to the plant machinery caused by the explosion and the heat and it is likely it will be out of operation for some time."
The incident occurred at Forest Bio Products at Balboughty Farm, near Scone.
Last week, the fire service was also involved in a blaze at a two-storey residence in Kinross-shire.
It said the property at Myrehaugh in Dunning Glen, Fossoway was "all but destroyed" in the fire.
