Introducing our eTraining product

Cost-effective, easy to use and simple to roll out, our new eTraining product allows companies large and small to upskill their staff in core health and safety issues, keeping an audit trail and formally developing their in-house safety and health policies.

What is eTraining?

eTraining is emerging as a viable alternative to traditional 'classroom' methods of learning.

Using digital technology, eTraining systems are go-to hubs for resources, documents and community discussion on a wide range of topics, allowing users to learn anytime and anywhere.

eTraining tools are  increasingly being employed by small to medium-sized businesses and large organisations who realise the value in having a portal of consolidated resources with which to teach their staff.

Because people learn in different ways and at different times, eTraining systems give companies greater flexibility than traditional learning methods.

How can Aviva's eTraining product benefit you?

"Our eTraining product, developed by Safety Media, is designed to furnish companies with a suite of key health and safety modules and make it easy and inexpensive for them to ensure their staff are trained on the H&S topics relevant to their operations."

Whether you're a new business looking to implement a basic level of health and safety at work, or a large organisation wanting to bring in the benefits of eTraining to your existing H&S policy, our eTraining system will be right for you.

Our content – compliant with the employee training requirements of the Health & Safety Act 1974 – is one of the largest libraries of H&S resources in the industry.

The suite of topics, ranging from Accident Investigation, Driving Safety, Food Hygiene to Stress Management, are designed to provide the health and safety basics for you or your staff.

A bespoke pricing package also makes it easy for you to select the specific learning tools you'll need.

Key benefits

Cost-effective – Instead of having staff go off-site for the day, or longer, to attend training sessions, companies can implement their learning programmes in-house, significantly cutting costs

Flexible & easy – simple to set up, eTraining allows your teams to learn at their own pace. Timescales can be adapted to suit the needs of your specific workplace

Sophisticated learning resources – our library of titles feature high quality video and interactive flash -- the focus is on providing engaging, useful and informative content that will not only teach your staff but keep them engaged and interested

Audit trail – eTraining allows you to develop a fully auditable set of training records and reports. This gives you a comprehensive overview of your H&S training and will form the backbone of your H&S policy. You can use these records to review when further training will be required. You can also print off completion certificates on passing the course.

Using eTraining to complement existing H&S policies

Implementing eTraining doesn't mean your existing health and safety strategies need go out of the window. Think instead how this new system would complement your existing arrangements.

Toby Roberts, Managing Director of Safety Media commented:  “E-Training is a fantastic way of offering training and reducing the hassle involved in organising a training day.  We need to bring learning to people instead of people to learning."

Getting started

Our eTraining package is simple to set up and run. You can pay and get started online in minutes. Personal log-ins allow you to give staff their own accounts, enabling them to learn as they go. Modules can also be saved and restarted.

Each module takes between 30 and 35 minutes to complete.
