What the course covers
On successful completion of the course delegates will be able to:
- Understand the principal legislation applicable to the responsibilities of both the client and the contracting party
- Appreciate developments in the interpretation of legal duties resulting from decided cases
- Recognise the key stages in the letting and execution of contracts with particular reference to the provision of work method statements and the subsequent management of safe systems of work
- Understand and manage the key requirements imposed under the Construction Design and Management Regulations 1994
- Effectively monitor and audit the safe conduct of contractors under client control and to impose sanctions against contract companies who are not achieving their stated health and safety performance
