This information is designed to help you understand more about our Stocks & Shares ISA before you make any decisions and not to provide you with financial advice.
Whether you’re looking for regular income, capital growth or a mix of both, a Stocks & Shares ISA can be a tax-efficient way of investing. Our Stocks and Shares ISA lets you invest in a range of Aviva Investors collective investment funds giving you access to a range of investments including government bonds, corporate bonds, stocks and shares and properties. When investing in the funds available within the ISA you should consider this a medium to long term investment (usually five years or more).
Current tax rules enable you to invest money in an ISA and receive any income earned free of personal liability to UK income tax. Plus, you won’t have to worry about paying UK capital gains tax on any growth in value.
Each year, the Government sets a limit on how much money you can put into a Stocks & Shares ISA:
You can invest all that allowance in a Stocks & Shares ISA. Or, you could put up to £5,760 of the allowance in a cash ISA and invest the rest in a Stocks & Shares ISA.
Although ISAs are tax efficient, the underlying funds may have to pay tax that can not be reclaimed. Please bear in mind that tax rules can change in the future. The value of an investment can go down as well as up and you may not get back the original amount invested.
Aviva Investors has a Stocks and Shares ISA available, the Aviva Investors Investment ISA.
