Van Insurance

Defaqto 5 Star rated van insurance

What is van insurance?

Just like other motor insurance, our van insurance can cover you and your vehicle against the cost of accidents and damage. From carrying your kit when you hit the road for an adventure to loading it with tools to go to work every day. It doesn’t matter if you use your van for business or pleasure. With our different options and add-ons, you can choose your cover to suit you and your four wheels (or three!).

Tool cover

If someone uses a crowbar to crack open your door and pinch your tools, we’ll be there with a fix. Get up to £500 to replace them if you’ve got comprehensive cover with us Footnote [1]

Repair guarantee

Following a claim we guarantee the quality of repairs made by our approved repairers for as long as you own your van, even if you change insurers Footnote [2]

Glass replacement

If your van’s windscreen or windows shatter we can help pick up the pieces by sorting out a repair or replacement

Types of vans covered

We can cover vans under 3.5T GVW, including box vans, light vans, pick-ups and electric vans. When you get a quote, you can pick the type of van you have and get an offer tailored to you and your vehicle.

Are you looking for business or personal van insurance?

We’ve got different options to pick from depending on what you use your van for.

Business vehicle and van insurance

You’ll need our Business Vehicle and Van Insurance if you use your van for any kind of work reasons, like driving to and from a job site or using it to help run your small business.

The van can be registered in your company's name or, if you’re a sole trader, registered in your own name.
