Our new Terms of Business are Live
To ensure we comply with the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we have updated our terms of business.
The changes are designed to make clear what your and our obligations are for dealing with personal data.
Please take a look here and make sure you’re happy with the changes, as you’ll be bound by these terms when you do business with us in future.
You can find the key GDPR-related changes in clause 22 (‘Data protection’) of the terms of business.
We’ve broadened the terms so they apply not only when you ‘submit’ business, but also more generally when you do business with us. This is to ensure the arrangements regulate all aspects of processing of client personal data that occur during the referral process, including any personal data that are provided to us by the adviser to support the generation of a personalised quote.
In addition to the changes made for GDPR purposes, we have also made a number of other small housekeeping alterations, including updating our financial crime section (clause 24) in light of the Criminal Finances Act 2017.
What you need to do
When you do business with us from 30 April onwards, you’ll automatically be agreeing to be bound by them. So please take a good look at the new terms of business to make sure you’re happy with that.
