Mrs T’s experience of using BacktoBetter
Published: 29 Mar 2017
I’d been suffering with that sort of niggling neck and shoulder pain for a while but I’d been putting it off.
Working full time with 2 children and a busy life meant I never seemed to get round to actually sorting it out until it became something I couldn’t ignore any longer.
Sat in a meeting, gritting my teeth with colleagues mouthing ‘are you alright?’ was the tipping point when I realised I had do something about it. I’d only got a few minutes between meetings one day, so I logged onto MyAviva to see if I could do anything about it online.
Luckily, it turned out I could make my claim online; it took me less than 5mins from start to finish and just a few questions to get a decision and get on the way to getting treatment – really quick and easy.
I booked a call-back for early evening after I’d finished work and by 7.15pm I was talking through my niggling neck and shoulder pain with an independent clinical advisor. She was great; really reassuring, completed a thorough assessment of the problems I’d been experiencing and arranged for me to be booked in for my first session of physio with Nuffield on the Monday when I was free.
In between time she talked to me about pain management strategies; helping me keep mobile and alleviating some of the day to day problems I’d been having. I even had a choice of where I could be treated, meaning I could find somewhere near to work and pop out in my lunch hour.
I think I put off sorting it out for so long because I thought it would be time consuming. I was impressed with how quickly I was looked after but more importantly how quickly I was getting better. Fitting my treatment around my lifestyle is really important to me, meaning I can balance everything whilst knowing I’m in safe hands.
I’d definitely recommend the online claims journey; fast and efficientit fulfilled on its promise of helping me get better, quicker.
