Sleep Adds Value
Published: 11 Oct 2017
Our recent research* reveals that around 20 million UK adults are not getting enough sleep and that the worst offenders – the 35-44 age group – form a core part of the UK workforce.
It’s no surprise that a personal sleep deficit can cause health issues. Sleeping disorders can range from insomnia, sleep-disruptive behaviours and sleep rhythm issues. And like many health issues, prevention is better than cure.
Dr Doug Wright, Medical Director for Aviva UK Health offers potential solutions: “What is important is to identify any issues early on and to take action to alleviate them. Using an app or a digital device to monitor sleep can help to track rest patterns and pin-point any factors which may be causing sleep difficulties.”
