Updates from the Broker Forum

Last month we hosted our broker forum where we gave our business updates and shared our future plans.  Here's an overview of the key messages from the day....

Nick Reynolds, Sales Director:

Nick introduced the session with the three pillars of Aviva Health - Simplicity, Quality and Affordability and how these are key to what we stand for as a business.

Simplicity: The assurance of Certainty, Speed and Ease for every customer

Quality: A focus on high value propositions, equally ensuring that new drug treatments are proven and providers of healthcare are delivering to the highest CQC standards.

Affordability: Obsessing about costs to keep premiums affordable and evidencing value for money.

 

Andrew Watkinson, Claims, Operations & Governance Director:

Andrew covered the continued success and rapid customer adoption of Aviva’s digital claims service. He also introduced and demonstrated the new digital service for advisers which will soon be launched.  The new Health Broker Portal has been designed in collaboration with advisers and will allow easy administration of clients’ policies at the touch of a button.

 

Ally Antell, Product Innovation Lead:

In this propositions update, Ally spoke about Aviva Digital GP now being available for all of our health customers. In addition to this he touched on what areas we can focus on investing in to strengthen our product in 2019. Finally, he outlined our future vision for wellbeing which will encompass Physical, Mental and Financial wellbeing.


Doug Wright, Medical Director:

In Doug’s segment he provided updates around our clinical proposition. This included how we have continued to increase the quality of care for customers and the upcoming introduction of our new Gender Identity proposition. Doug also provided an update on the change of landscape around oncology particularly the growth in cost due to recent new therapies, signposted new treatments on the horizon and explained the drivers behind these.
