Important Notice

Aviva’s withdrawal from the international private medical insurance market

Following careful consideration, we’re withdrawing from the international private medical insurance market to focus our health insurance resources on the UK PMI market.

This means that from 1 May 2018, we are no longer offering individual or group international private medical insurance quotations for new business.

Existing Aviva Customers

Your individual and group clients will remain covered by their current International Solutions or Gulf Solutions policy until their next renewal date. Additionally all eligible claims occurring during the period of cover will be honoured and will continue to be administered by our claims team and third party providers. If your client has any outstanding claims for reimbursement, please encourage them to submit these as soon as possible to enable prompt assessment.

What happens at renewal?

Your client’s international private medical insurance cover will cease from their next renewal.

To help them continue their cover, customers will receive renewal terms for a similar product to be provided by Aetna International.

Provision of these terms will be subject to the legal and regulatory requirements applicable to Aetna in some countries.

This transitional period will complete on 30 April 2019.
