We'll help you to follow this simple three step process:
Step 1 - let us know about the details of your claim
Call us as soon as possible on 0800 158 3105. One of our claims advisers will take the information that we need to look at your claim. If you could have your policy number to hand when you call, that would really help us to get your claim underway as quickly as possible.
There's no need to worry about paperwork. We'll fill it in for you, and answer any questions you have about the payments you're expecting. Our claims advisers receive counsellor training, so they're well-equipped to deal with any sensitive issues, and your details will remain confidential at all times.
Step 2 - check that the details of your claim are correct
We'll check that we've understood the circumstances of your claim and send you a form to complete and sign, and send back to us in the pre-paid envelope we provide. Sometimes, we may also ask for proof of some extra details, such as your age and earnings.
It's possible that we'll ask for information from your GP about your condition, or you may need to attend an independent medical examination. But we'll explain everything in detail, and let you know why the information is needed to move your claim into the next stage.
Step 3 - concentrate on getting better. We'll take care of the rest
When you make an eligible claim we'll make sure that you are paid monthly, in arrears, after your deferred period ends, for as long as necessary. You can contact us at any time to see how the paperwork is coming along (we'll give you a direct line number to do this), and we'll stay in touch with you, to check on your progress and offer support.
It's important to us that you have the best possible chance of making a rapid recovery. In addition to making sure that the claims process is as stress-free as possible, we may be able to offer you some extra support.
