Motor insurance - Courtesy car option

Video transcript

We all take hopping into the car to get where we need to be for granted. So when your car is off the road after an accident or having it stolen it can be a major inconvenience, but you can avoid this if you include the Courtesy Car option in your motor insurance policy because we’ll help you carry on with your normal life while we sort things out for you.

A courtesy car is provided if you use one of our approved repairers. We aim to provide a car within 24 hours of you contacting us. You’ll be able to keep it until your own vehicle is back on the road.

If your car is stolen or can’t be repaired, we’ll provide a courtesy car up to a maximum of 14 days.

If you have a comprehensive policy, we’ve two levels of courtesy car cover you can choose from. The standard option offers you a small three door 1 litre hatchback, or with the enhanced option you have a five door 1.6 litre car with room for five people. If you normally drive an automatic we can provide one. If you’re a van driver, you tell us when you take out this cover whether you prefer a car, a car-style van, a panel-style van, or a long wheel based van, should you need it.

So with our courtesy car cover you’ll remain on the move even when your vehicle is off the road.

And that’s it, insurance made a little easier.
