Alcohol and Drugs

Driving whilst under the influence of alcohol or drugs is extremely dangerous and socially unacceptable; most drivers wouldn't do it knowingly. However, certain prescribed and over-the-counter drugs can significantly impair driving skill. This can include something as innocent as cough medicine.

Most drivers will leave their car at home or get a friend to drive if they know they're going to have a drink in the evening.

An organisation ought to have a drinking and drugs driving policy and incorporate it into their driver's handbook.
