The UK's best "Shoffice" Competition
The UK's best "Shoffice" Competition (the 'Competition') is run by Aviva Insurance Limited registered in Scotland with a company number 2116. Registered Office Pitheavlis, Perth, PH2 0NH, Scotland (“the Promoter”). By entering the Competition, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (the ‘Terms’).
Terms and Conditions
1. The Competition
1.1. There will be three (3) winners and selected entrants will win a £250 gift voucher each, to be chosen from Amazon, B&Q, Ikea, John Lewis or Currys PC World. These winners will be selected by Louisa Fletcher, property expert of the promoter.
2. How to enter
2.1. No purchase necessary to enter.
2.2. Internet access is required.
2.3. A personal Facebook account is required. Entry cannot be made via any type of non-personal account (Business accounts for individuals are allowed).
2.4. Enter the competition by posting one photo of your shed to office (‘Shoffice’) as a reply to Aviva UK’s best Shoffice Competition post.
2.5 Entries as links or links attached to other posts / pages on Facebook or other websites will not be considered and hidden
2.6. To be eligible, the “Shoffice” must be a converted garden shed or outbuilding (detached from the house). Purpose-built units will not be considered. There is no date restriction as to when the conversion was made.
2.7. Entrants agree to give Facebook a complete release from any and all legal liability in connection with the Competition. The entrant will retain copyright of the photo(s).
2.8. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any costs associated with entry.
2.9. Entries will not be acknowledged so please check to confirm your entry has been uploaded correctly. No responsibility is accepted for ineligible entries or for late, delayed, misdirected, incomplete or lost entries.
2.10. The Participant acknowledges and agrees that, by submitting/uploading a photograph for the Competition, they thereby grant an exclusive, irrevocable, perpetual and royalty-free licence to Aviva to use and reproduce that photograph.
2.11. By participating in this Competition, all Participants are deemed to give their consent to Aviva to appear in future publicity materials or other promotional events and activities related to this Competition.
3. Start and closing date
3.1. The competition will open at 2pm GMT on 11th May 2021 and the closing date for receipt of all entries is 17:00 GMT 1st June 2021 (“the Closing Date”). Entries received after the Closing Date will not be processed.
4.1. The Competition is open to residents of the UK, Channel Islands and the Isle of Man aged over 18 years.
4.2. The Competition is not open to the Promoter’s employees, agencies and anyone else closely connected with the Promotion.
4.3. No purchase is necessary to enter the Promotion.
4.4. The decision of the Promoter is final and the Promoter will not enter into correspondence relating to any of its decisions.
5. Allocation of prize
5.1. The Promoter will be provided a list of those that have taken part and three (3) winners will be selected during week commencing 1st June 2021.
5.2. If a selected winner does not meet the eligibility criteria set out in these Terms, 'The Promoter' reserves the right to select an alternative winner.
5.3. The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable, and not redeemable for other prizes.
6. Notification of prize
6.1. The Winners will be notified by direct message on Facebook by the Promoter or its fulfilment partner Battenhall within 30 days of the Closing Date to confirm that they have won.
6.2. The winners will be announced on Aviva UK’s Facebook channel and on aviva.co.uk by the end of June 2021 and agrees to take part in any promotion of the winners, including publishing their photos on Aviva’s websites and social media.
6.3. The Promoter cannot accept responsibility for any direct messages that do not reach the intended recipients for any reason whatsoever.
6.4. The decision of the Promoter is final and no correspondence regarding the prize allocation will be entered into.
6.5. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any costs associated with the prizes and that are not specifically and expressly included within the prize description.
7.1. If the Winners fail to respond to the Promoter within 10 days of the direct message to accept the prize, then the prize will be forfeited and the Promoter will be entitled to select another winner (and that Winner will have to respond to the email direct message sent to them by the Promoter within 10 days of that message or else they will also forfeit their prize).
7.2. The Winners have up to 10 days after being informed of their prize to provide their postal address and if they don’t respond it will be offered to the next person who is selected.
7.3. The names of winners will be available on written request by sending a stamped addressed envelope within one month of the closing date to: Aviva St Helen's, 1 Undershaft, London EC3P 3DQ
7.4. The Promoter may ask any of the Winners to provide proof of age
8.1. Entries not in accordance with the rules of entry will be disqualified. No responsibility is taken for entries that are lost, delayed, misdirected or incomplete or cannot be delivered or entered for any technical or other reason.
8.2. Subject to the above, the Promoter accepts no responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury or disappointment incurred or suffered by you as a result of entering the Promotion or accepting the prize.
8.3. The Promoter shall not be liable for any failure to comply with its obligations where the failure is caused by something outside its reasonable control.
8.4. Nothing in these terms and conditions shall exclude the liability of the Promoter for death or personal injury as a result of its negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
8.5. The Promoter retains the right to substitute any of the prizes with another prize of similar value in the event the original prize offered is not available.
8.6. The Promoter reserves the right to modify the Promotion at any time without prior notice.
9. Data protection
10. Governing law and jurisdiction
10.1. The Competition and these Terms shall be governed by English law and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
