What you'll need

It doesn't take long to claim on your home insurance, so we can get you back to normal. We'll just want to know what happened and when, plus what you're claiming for. You can upload photos of damage or receipts for lost items, but we can process your claim without these. 

To check what your home insurance covers you for, either look through your printed policy, if you have a paper copy, or you can find your documents in MyAviva.

For our joint protection, telephone calls may be recorded and/or monitored and will be saved for a minimum of 5 years. The cost of calls to 03 prefixed numbers are charged at national call rates (charges may vary dependent on your network provider) and are usually included in inclusive minute plans from landlines and mobiles.

Step 1

Tell us what happened

Make your claim online, unless it's an emergency. You will need to tell us some details about what’s happened and it should take less than 10 minutes.

Step 2

We'll assess the details

One of our claim experts will review the details. We can arrange for specialist contractors or surveyors to visit your home if needed. And whether your claim is simple or complex, we’ll be working hard to put things right.

Step 3

You get back to normal

We always settle claims quickly where we can, offering cash payment, vouchers or replacement products. Where that’s not possible we’ll let you know what’s happening and how long it will take.
