In addition to aiming to help you make better decisions about your insurance, we use these reviews to improve our products and services.

Customer reviews consist of an overall rating out of five and provide feedback on the experience of buying a policy and making a claim with us. Customers also have the option to provide a rating out of five on additional aspects of their experience. After buying a policy, customers are able rate us on value for money, ease of purchase, policy features and benefits and customer experience. After making a claim, customers are invited to rate us on ease of claim process, speed of resolution, fairness and customer experience.

Claim review

Should Not Be This Hard

Right from the start this was a struggle. Took ages to talk to someone when we were on the side of the road. Then we did not receive any communication of what happens next in the process claim. The engineer that valued the car after the write off was very efficient and quick but then trying to speak to someone to accept the offer was a nightmare. No one wanted to talk to us and kept promising to get someone to phone us back but nothing. We had no idea who was dealing with our claim. In the end we Facebook messaged Aviva and I must say they were the most helpful people ever and without them we would still be trying to talk to someone. The whole experience was just so stressful and should not be this hard. A letter from Aviva detailing the process would have been helpful and a contact and phone number for the claim. Half the time we phoned the person on the other end could not answer our questions and received a lot of "Don't Know" answers. A round of applause for the Facebook team.

Really efficient, no nonsense service.

Buyer review

Good Deal

My wife's motor insurance was due, and the renewal cost had gone up considerably with a rival insurer. As we had Home insurance with Aviva, we had an estimate from them and came in a lot cheaper than my old company. I shall see what I can save myself when my next renewal is due.

Do it yourself

After being hit whilst parked and not having the car registration was told basically your paying £400 excess plus lose your no claims bonus. Having proof that royal mail had caused the problem had to research ourselves. Having obtained the registration number have to get money bank via solicitors under our own steam. Apart from the repair no help at all. didn't answer email and 25 minutes to get through phone.

Great service at a difficult time

Fast and professional service. Claim was sorted out and paid out within 10 days. Would take a lot for me to leave Aviva after the service i received at a difficult time.
