After buying a policy, customers are able rate us on value for money, ease of purchase, policy features and benefits and customer experience. After making a claim, customers are invited to rate us on ease of claim process, speed of resolution, fairness and customer experience.

Claim review

Nice and simple

The claim process was easy to follow as a classic no-fault claim (we were rear-ended at a set of lights). In 2013 we had a poor experience with a repairer in another town - so this time we asked for an approved repairer closer to us. The new/local repairer was much better, so I have learned to always ask for a nearby approved repairer rather than going with the first one that the insurer offers.

Great Service

Aviva provided overall an excellent service once the claim had been processed. The work carried out on my vehicle was top quality. The only reservation is the time it takes to contact Aviva via mobile phone as they are constantly engaged, otherwise would recommend without reservation

Two estimates?

I wondered why Aviva do not ask for two repair estimates. It might just lower costs to them and the customer if there was a bit of competition.

Prompt attention from Aviva to get my car back on road

From the moment I reported the accident to Aviva, the details were taken over the phone, arrangements were made for my car to be picked up before 10.30 am next morning and Solus were prompt to let me know what was happening at each stage and kept me informed to progress throughout. My car was returned to me repaired 2 weeks after the date of the accident. However, I was rather disappointed that Aviva upheld the claim from the other party. Although I was changing lane, there was ample room for me to transfer into other lane, the lorry driver sped up after I had started the manoeuvre, I could see him in my mirror getting closer and closer, before the impact-3 bumps into me. He came out of his vehicle, mobile in hand, said he hadn't seen me. Wanted to move off to a quieter spot to exchange details, then fled the scene. I called Police who came and took statement from me, no suggestion at that stage of any blame on my part. They seemed to fully understand how accident occurred.
