- Other treatment and therapies

For just a little extra on your premium a month, we can give you a health policy that covers you for complementary treatments such as physiotherapy,
acupuncture and chiropractic treatment. This way your GP can refer you straight away, without having to see a specialist first. This option also
qualifies you for our Back-Up service.
- Dental and optical

Although our core cover includes cover towards surgical procedures to teeth and some ophthalmic procedures, you can also choose additional
health care benefits that help with the cost of routine dental expenses, accidental dental injuries and optical expenses.
- Psychiatric cover

You can now get private health cover for in or day–patient treatment if you're diagnosed with a psychiatric condition.

For a little extra on your private health insurance premium, you can protect your no claim discount. This means that if you make a new claim, you
won't drop down the no claim discount scale at renewal.
Ways to keep the cost of your private health insurance policy down
- Reduced outpatient and selected benefit reduction

You can choose to reduce your out–patient cover. If you're happy to use the NHS or pay for certain out–patient treatments yourself,
this options is ideal for you as it will lower your premium.
- Six week option

Private health care benefits for in–patient or day-patient treatment will only be available if treatment is not available at an NHS hospital
within six weeks.
You will still benefit from private health cover should your GP refer you to a specialist for out–patient tests. If subsequent eligible treatment
as an out–patient is required, you will be covered for this too.
- Policy excess

You can choose an excess of:
By choosing an excess you will lower the cost of your private health insurance premium. The higher the excess you choose, the lower your premium
will be. Each member who makes a claim will have to pay this cost, but only once per policy year.
