appalling home emergency

Took out home insurance policy with extra home emergency cover. My boiler broke 5 days ago. Engineer came out left me without checking boiler worked. Still no heating so rang on Friday evening to be told to ring Monday morning!! Rang Monday morning.. engineer came out who had to use step by step instructions on the internet. He did not fix boiler and caused a leak under sink by cutting pipes and trying to glue bits of pipe too big back on. Now left with grey sludge leaking under sink and no heating. Not able to get engineer yet. On phone over 5 hours.Also no heaters providedasperpolicy.

Homeowner Ins purchase

My existing policy via a broker changed insurer from Aviva to another insurer, so I tried Aviva direct. Our home is quirky in all sorts of ways, so they google earthed it, saw what I was on about and gave me the same cover for less. Aviva now have our two cars and our house direct and the site is linked in so it's easy to check everything.
