However, the Cash Fund ISA is different because it allows you to invest in a fund which, although it is of a relatively low risk/return nature, means you must be prepared to accept some risk to your capital and income.

The Cash Fund ISA may be suitable if you are looking for a fund with a relatively low risk of losing any of your original capital over the medium to long term. However, the value of investments in the fund and the income from them can fluctuate. The relatively low risk nature of the fund means that the prospects for high capital growth or income are limited.
