Need financial advice

You may be able to make your own mind up about the kind of investment or insurance you need. However, in many cases you will find financial advice valuable in helping to ensure all the angles are covered, for example:

  • You want advice about retirement planning, or want to know how much your current pension provisions will be worth to you when you come to retire.
  • You are self-employed and have a wide range of needs to consider.
  • You need to make sure that your life assurance will cover all financial eventualities if the unthinkable was to happen.
  • You want to plan and invest for a specific future event; such as a round the world trip, a wedding, or a university education for your children.

Your options for financial advice

You have two options for financial advice. You can either speak to one of our consultants or contact a financial adviser of your choice.

1) Advice over the phone from Aviva

Aviva's Teleconsultants offer full financial advice and planning over the phone - you don't need to leave the house and you don't need to have them in it. They can help you answer any questions you have about your financial situation, such as:

  • How can I afford to live if I am unable to work through illness?
  • How tax efficient are my savings and investments?
  • How can I save enough to make my future dreams come true?
  • Have I got enough life cover to protect my mortgage AND my family?

Call us on our freephone number 0800 015 4785. Calls may be recorded.

Any advice given by our consultants will relate only to the products of Aviva.

Your personal financial plan

The Consultant will take some details about your financial situation covering:

  • income and expenditure
  • assets
  • liabilities
  • work and family
  • plans and objectives
  • how much risk you are prepared to take with your investment.

So when you talk to a Consultant it will be useful to have the details of the following to hand:

  • investment schemes
  • pensions schemes
  • salary slips/earnings
  • credit arrangements
  • loans
  • mortgage/rent.

With this information the Consultant will prepare a report detailing your situation and making recommendations for you.

Once you have received the report you can call the Consultant back to discuss any areas where you need more advice or information. Then you can follow his or her advice, or do nothing, as you wish - you are under no obligation. All this can be done over the phone and through the post with the minimum of fuss. A little time spent planning now is a great investment for the future.

How do I know I can trust them?

  • All Aviva's Financial Consultants are trained to high standards, to ensure the advice they are giving is suited to the customer's best interests.
  • Aviva is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority.

2) Advice from another financial adviser
