I asked for more information

The information pack you asked for will contain a booklet giving you details about your options for turning your pension fund into an income in retirement. You will also receive a personal information form to complete. In the meantime, why not see how much income you could get from your pension fund with our Pension Annuity Calculator.

What do I do next?

  • You should fill in the personal information form in as much detail as possible and return it to us.
  • Even if you received some quotes with your pack, it's still worth using our Pension Annuity Calculator to see what other options are available to you. By playing around with the options, you can tailor the quote to match your own situation.
  • If you want to accept one of the quotes you've received, fill in the application form and return it to us.

Why do you want to know such personal information?

The more we know about your personal circumstances, the more we can tailor our quote for a retirement income to you. Most people think they will get less for their money if they are ill, but with annuities the opposite could be true. If you or your dependant have or have had certain medical conditions, you may get a higher income, so make sure you tell us everything. We also consider your lifestyle which includes things like your height and weight and whether you smoke.

If you have a medical condition, please read our page about retiring due to ill health.

Why are you asking questions about my dependant?

You can choose whether you want to set up an income for your dependant if you die. If you do, the more we know about them, the better we can tailor the quote to them. If you choose to include a dependants income this may reduce the amount of income you receive.

Why do I need to do this now?

If you are thinking about retiring, you need to know how much income you could expect to get. The sooner you return your completed form, the sooner we can provide you with a tailored quote. Once you have this information, you can decide whether this is the right product for you. If you have any queries or need information, talk to a member of our team by calling 0808 250 7935. If you want financial advice, please contact your financial adviser. If you don't have a financial adviser you can find one via www.unbiased.co.uk.

I've lost part of my information pack. How can I get a new one?

If you've lost the booklets, find them in the useful documents section on the right of the screen. If you have lost any of the forms, please call us on 0800 533 5195.
