Who are the independent trustee directors?
Chris Noon
Chair of the Trustee Board
Chris is an experienced Chair and non-executive director having previously been the Chair of one of the UK’s largest pension consultancies. He has 30 years’ experience of working across the UK pensions market with employers and directly with Master Trusts. His broad experience includes market strategy, policy, member engagement, investment solutions and administration.
Fiona Matthews
Chair of the Member Experience and Communications Committee
Fiona is an experienced non-executive director and pensions trustee, having sat on Trustee Boards for master trusts, life assurance companies, and a large global pension consultancy. In the recent past, Fiona founded and led LifeSight, a DC master trust in the UK and EMEA, and was a Trustee Director of an auto enrolment master trust. Her broad experience includes strategy, member engagement, investment, operations and leading complex change and growth programmes.
Rita Butler-Jones
Trustee Director
Rita has over 35 years’ experience in pensions and asset management. Most recently, she led the defined contribution business at L&G, responsible for strategy and growth, until retiring earlier this year. Rita has held senior roles at Prudential, Threadneedle, and Mercer. She is passionate about fairness and good outcomes and has driven the growth of master trusts, championed innovation in private markets, and led initiatives tackling pension adequacy and the gender pension gap.
Andy Purvis
Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee
Andy has over 30 years’ experience in pensions and 15 years in asset management and is currently CEO of MT Capital Management. In the past Andy has served on the boards and executive committees of AXA Sun Life, AXA Wealth, and Architas. He is a barrister and was formerly Chief Risk Officer at AXA Wealth and Architas where he oversaw risk management, regulatory compliance, governance and legal.
Jonathan Parker
Chair of the Investment Committee
Jonathan is a pensions investment specialist with over 20 years’ experience and is currently Head of Defined Contribution and Financial Wellbeing at UK investment consultancy Redington (a Gallagher company). He is a CFA® Charterholder and has held senior roles within insurance, asset management and consulting.
Rekha Owen
Trustee Director
Rekha is a professional trustee and is The Law Debenture Pension Trust Corporation plc’s representative on our Trustee Board. She is an accredited member of the Association of Professional Pension Trustees and is a CFA® Charterholder. Before joining Law Debenture, she worked in the pensions and investment industry for over 20 years, with senior roles in investment consulting, fiduciary management and financial regulation. She has a particular interest in the role of private assets, having previously led Mercer’s Alternatives Investment Business in Canada.
