Declaring your compliance
By five months after your duties start date
After you’ve got everything set up, you need to complete a declaration of compliance form no later than five months after your duties start date. So, if your duties start date is 1 May 2024, you need to return a completed declaration of compliance by 30 September 2024.
You can do this on The Pension Regulator’s website, and it lets them know you’ve met your legal duties. If you don’t complete the declaration form online or submit incorrect information, you could be fined.
Here’s some of the things you need to know about completing your declaration of compliance:
- Your Employer pension scheme reference number (EPSR): Your scheme number
- Aviva's Pension scheme registry number (PSR): 10079060
- Scheme type: Group Personal Pension (GPP)
- PAYE references and letter codes: the 10-digit letter code provided by The Pensions Regulator, beginning with ‘1’, you can find on correspondence from them
- Your PAYE reference: this should also be on your letters from HMRC, as well as on your payroll software.
If you’re not sure, you can find a checklist of everything you need on and where to find it at The Pension Regulator.
